Terms and conditions 2022

Pets are accepted at the owner’s risk. Opening hours: 7 days a week – 9am to 10 a.m. and 5 a.m to 6 p.m.. Please restrict drop off, collection and viewing times to within our opening times, unless agreed with the kennel manager.

Vaccinations: Proof of vaccination – in the form of your dog’s up-to-date vaccination certificate MUST accompany your dog on arrival with us. If proof of vaccination is not shown on arrival we cannot accept your pet for boarding. New vaccination courses must have been completed the ammount of days your vet recommends before arrival. In the case of Kennel Cough vaccine we recommend you have it done but do not insist on it. Please discuss with your vet and be guided by them.

Health: We reserve the right to refuse boarding to any pet which causes concern due to ill health when arriving at the kennels. In case of need all pets boarded will be taken to the vet regularly used by us – currently Ian Laird at coningsby. The only exception to this is where an owner has specifically requested and we have agreed to use the vet of the owner’s choice. But in the case of an out of hours emergency we would have to use Ian Laird. We will charge milage and time for travelling to vet. All costs will be for the owner’s account and are payable upon collection of your pet(s). Please note that we accept no liability for Kennel Cough or any medical complication that might occur as a result of a dog incurring this condition.

Behaviour: We reserve the right to refuse boarding to any pet which causes concern due to aggressive behaviour or ill health when arriving at the kennels. If during your pet’s stay they become aggressive and dangerous to other animals or staff we will isolate your pet until they can be collected by a responsible person as soon as possible.

All dogs have access to their own exercise run all day except when we are cleaning or feeding . All dogs will be offered enrichment in the form of free running exercise in our paddocks unless unsafe to do so. In which case we will interact with dog from a safe distance unless we feel this is distressing for them. All dogs are free to bring toys and bedding from home. All dogs will be encouraged to interact with us whilst we go about the kennel and when letting them out for their extra exercise.

Please sign our record card when you come in at Barsey Walk Kennels to give us permission to speak to the vet about your dog and to make decisions on your behalf if we are unable to contact you or your alternative contact details.

If you have more than one dog and you want those dogs to share a kennel on the understanding if there is a problem sharing we will put into separate kennels and be charged accordingly.

We will keep a copy of your details for our records. And only use them with reference to your animal.

By signing our record card on admission you are agreeing to ALL of the above

Fees: All fees must be paid in full at the time of collection of your pet. Payment will be accepted as either cash or debit/credit card transaction; or cheques. We charge for boarding by number of days . Per day or any part of day..

 Non-collection: We reserve the right to re-home any pets not collected within 14 days of the agreed boarding period.
